u r right about the trend in sg. but interestingly, some sources that i've read online actually proves that wedding planners help to save cost for the wedding! wedding planners are professionals who make sure the couple doesnt over-budget and also, they often will get discounts from caterers etc (whom they've always worked with) which they can later pass on to their customers.

Save cost for the wedding so tat the couple can pay the wedding planners mah..makes no difference to me.
