Setting up a 24hr study place!

    • Dear Friends,

      I would like to seek some advice on the setting up of a 24hrs study place which will provide student with the following

      • Proper Tables/Chairs
      • Lockers
      • Proper lighting
      • Air Condition
      • Toilets
      • Vending Machine for drink and food
      • Near to the city
      • Basic Wireless Internet Access

      Will students be interested be paying a fee for such a place

    • if there are a bunch of students together with wireless connection, and the rest of the stuff, what makes you think they will study at all if they don't have the discipline to just study at home?

      What is the unique selling point ? You can get all this at the library ...

    • Why don't u hire some invigilators too and their job is to make sure the students who utilise your place really study? =X

      You have a point there. You major competition Macs is also open 24 hours. And they offer great food (well thats what most people think).

      I think there should be atleast 2 more really catchy selling points if you want to sustain a good business.

    • 24 hours place to study, like the airport? or burger king, at east coast? these place more condusive for overnight studying

    • Near to city, very hard

      If around HDB areas, you could get rent for $1k a month, and charge a very very basic fee, e.g. $2 a month, and attempt to earn from snacks or drinks vending machine

      That hardly covers the expenses.
